What is happening?

DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

GLADSTONE STREET, DARLINGTON

Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close: GLADSTONE STREET

From the western boundary of 120 Gladstone Street eastwards to the west side of Thornton Street junction

An alternative route will be signed via Greenbank Road, Bondgate, St Augustine's Way, Northgate and via Northgate, Corporation Road, Salisbury Terrace, Greenbank Road.

The Order is necessary to allow works by Northumbrian Water to repair a sewer.

The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 18th June 2025, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 10 days.
