Blackrod, Temporary Road Closures Due To Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

BLACKROD RESURFACING TEMPORARY CLOSURES

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 S.14 The Council intends to make an order, operative from 23 June 2025 for 4 weeks approx, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Blackhorse Street, Church Street New Street & Manchester Road, Blackrod, to allow resurfacing to take place. The works will be undertaken in two phases - (1) Blackhorse St / Church St / New St / Manchester Rd (New St to Station Rd) & (2) Manchester Rd (Station Rd to Blackrod Bypass). Alternate route will be via the A6 Blackrod Bypass, Station Rd. The Order will end after 18 months or on completion of the works whichever first occurs.
