Suffolk, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C624 HIGH STREET, TUDEMHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C624 High Street, Tuddenham from the junction with Chapel Lane for 70 metres northbound to facilitate excavation works.
Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be High Street, The A11, the A1101, Cavenham Road, The Street, High Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/06/2025 - from 7:30am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C742 CANNONS ROAD, GREAT CORNARD
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C742 Cannons Road, Great Cornard from The Drift for 30 metres north-eastbound to facilitate a water disconnection.
Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Shawlands Avenue, Raydon Way, Kit Hill and Head Lane, The B1508 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/06/2025 - 5am to 27/06/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6702 PEARLMAN WALK, HAVERHILL
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6702 Pearlman Walk, Haverhill from 30 metres east of Bergamot Road to 10 metres eastbound to facilitate pole replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Bergamot Road, Cornwell Way and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/06/2025 - 19/06/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3826 THOROUGHFARE, WOODBRIDGE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3826 Thoroughfare, Woodbridge from the junction with Quay Street to 70 metres northbound to facilitate excavation works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Thoroughfare, the B1438 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/06/2025 - 19/06/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C466 CLAY HILL AND THE C495 SWAN HILL, HINTLESHAM AND COPDOCK AND WASHBROOK
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C466 Clay Hill, Hintlesham from Hill Crest to the junction with Duke Street to facilitate excavation to clear telecommunications blockages. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, Washbrook Road, Chattisham Road, Hollow Road, Beal Lane, Swan Hill, the A1071, Duke Street and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the C495 Swan Hill, Copdock and Washbrook from the junction with the A1071 to the junction with The Street.
It is intended that these measures will operate from 17/06/2025 - 19/06/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
