What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Banbury, Longelandes Way footpath

Date of Order: 30/6/2025

Coming into force: 7/7/2025

This Order is being introduced because of new electrical service connection to provide electric car chargers, which is anticipated to be completed on 18/7/2025.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of the footway off Longelandes Way, between Ruscote Arcade and Evenlode Road. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The diversion will be signed via the adjacent footway.

Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T15854/RMF)

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 7 July 2025

Coming into force: 14 July 2025

This Order is being introduced because of high voltage cable reinforcement works which are anticipated to be completed 25 July 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Fairfax Close. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15610 /AC )

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 7 July 2025

Coming into force: 14 July 2025

This Order is being introduced because of high voltage electrical works which are anticipated to be completed 25 July 2025.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in part of Braithwaite Close from the junction with Stanbridge Close to the junction of Fairfax Close. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is by Braithwaite Close, Bretch Hill, Stanbridge Close and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15609/AC)
