THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING ETC)

(VARIATION NO 12) ORDER 2025                                                                       - TO/R5.3.131

Midlothian Council on 16 June 2025 made the above Order, which will come into force on 30 June 2025. The effect is to apply additional lengths of double yellow line restrictions at Croft Street in Penicuik. Details may be examined until 28 July 2025 at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk, at Libraries and from david.chambers@midlothian.gov.uk.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of this Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any relevant regulation has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 16 June 2025 apply for this purpose to the Court of Session.

The Council proposes to apply double yellow line waiting restrictions on a section of Hawthorn Gardens in Loanhead. Details may be examined from 19 June to 11 July 2025 at TellMeScotland.gov.uk, at Libraries or from gillian.bathgate@midlothian.gov.uk.

The Council proposes to extend double yellow line waiting restrictions on Broomhill Avenue in Penicuik and to make recently painted lines on Bog Road enforceable. Details may be examined from 19 June to 11 July 2025 at TellMeScotland.gov.uk, at Libraries or from gillian.bathgate@midlothian.gov.uk.

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (STONE PLACE AND BLACKCOT AVENUE, MAYFIELD) (TEMPORARY PARKING SUSPENSION WITH WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING RESTRICTIONS)

ORDER 2025                                                                                                      - TTRO/R 5.4.275

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Midlothian Council has made a temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, prohibiting parking, waiting, loading and unloading on Stone Place from its junction with Eskview Road to its junction with Blackcot Avenue and on Blackcot Avenue from its junction with Stone Place to its junction with B6842. Double yellow lines will be implemented on one side of both roads to form a clear one-way route for construction traffi c to and from the site of the new Mayfi eld Learning Community Campus. The restrictions will be in place Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 30 June 2025. The works are expected to take 17 months to complete.
