What is happening?

ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF GUILD ROAD EAST DENE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Guild Road from its junction with Western Road for a distance of approximately 25m in an easterly direction on Tuesday 24th June 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Western Road, Badsley Moor Lane, Central Avenue and vice versa. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Repairs to water apparatus).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

VARIOUS ROADS AND FOOTPATHS ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice and to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the parts of footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice for up to 25 occasions and varying times between Tuesday 1st July 2025 and Tuesday 30th June 2026. Advance notice to affected businesses will be provided by the Council’s events team.

NOTICE is further given that there will be no alternative routes for vehicles affected by the Order. Access will be allowed for emergency vehicles only.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road and footpaths (To provide a sterile area/s to prevent all vehicles from coming into conflict with pedestrians and/or event attendees and organisers within the general town centre for numerous events annually).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF FLORENCE AVENUE ASTON CUM AUGHTON SHEFFIELD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Florence Avenue from its junction with A618 Mansfield Road to the southern kerbline of Olive Close from Monday 23rd June until Monday 7th July 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Mansfield Road, Lodge Lane, Hepworth Drive, Florence Avenue and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Gas main renewal).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF PENNY HILL FIRBECK ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Penny Hill from a point approximately 470m north of its junction with B6463 Lamb Lane for a

distance of approximately 30m towards Firbeck village direction on Sunday  29th June 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Penny Hill, Lamb Lane, Kidd Lane, New Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electrical works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF BADSLEY MOOR LANE EAST DENE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Badsley Moor Lane from its junction with Western Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction between 10am and 2pm on Sunday 29th June 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Browning Road, Tennyson Road, Far Lane, Badsley Moor Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Water main repairs).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.4 WHISTON ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.4 Whiston from a point on Mill Hill at Grid Reference SK4514 9019 and proceeding in a south westerly direction for a distance of 110m to a point at its junction with the steps at Grid Reference SK 4508 9010 from Thursday 19th June until Friday 8th August 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via the adjacent Public Footpath No. 5 Whiston adjacent to property no.6 Hollowgate.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Works to retaining wall).

PART OF ULLEY LANE ULLEY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Ulley Lane from its junction with A618 Pleasley Road to its junction with A618 Main Street on Tuesday 1st July 2025 between 8am and 6pm.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the

Order will be via A618 Main Street, B6067 Aston Lane, B6067 Aughton Lane, B6067

Worksop Road, A57 Aston Way, A57 M1 Roundabout, A57 Worksop Road, A57

Worksop Road Roundabout, B6463 Todwick Road, Common Road, Long Lane, Penny Hill Lane, Main Street (Ulley), Ulley Lane and vice versa.
