The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders:

The Isle of Wight Council (Alverstone Road, Newchurch, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Tuesday 24 June 2025, and Thursday 26 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Alverstone Road, Newchurch, between its junctions with Skinners Lane and its junction with Bower Close. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during street furniture repairs.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 23 June 2025 and Wednesday 25 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian, cyclist or equestrian to proceed along Cycle Track from Newport to Cowes, between its junction with Arctic Road, and its junction with Werrar Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during cycle track repairs.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 23 June 2025, and Wednesday 25 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lower Road, Brading, between its junctions with Upper Road, Brading and its junction with Brading Footpath 5. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during street furniture repairs.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Wednesday 25 June 2025, and Friday 27 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bowcombe Road, Carisbrooke, between its junctions with Newport Bridleway 127, and its junction with Newport Bridleway 132. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during drainage works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Horsebridge Hill, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 27 June 2025, and Monday 28 July 2025, or when the works have been completed, Horsebridge Hill, Newport, will be closed on two separate weekends between Friday 20:00 to Monday 6:00 only. The first will be closed on Friday 27 June to Monday 30 June; the second closure weekend dates will be confirmed by signs on site. This will be closed between its junctions Lonsdale Avenue, Newport and its junction with Nicholson Street, Newport. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for development works.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours Thursday 26 June 2025 until 1800 hours on Tuesday 1 July 2025, or when the works have been completed, Billingham Shute will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0930 and 1530 hours on Monday 26 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, Corf Road will be closed between its junctions with Main Road and Mill Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 20 June 2025 and Friday 1 August 2025 the following roads will be closed either between 0600 and 1800 hours or at all times for a period of approximately one to 15 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, surfacing, lining and cats eyes works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that, for five shifts, between Monday 16 June 2025, and Friday 20 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Marlborough Road, Ventnor, between its junctions with Tulse Hill and its junction with The Grove. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 16 June 2025, and Wednesday 18 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Limerstone Road, Brighstone, between its junctions with Lower Limerstone Road and its junction with Mead Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 16 June 2025, and Wednesday 18 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Appleford Road, Chale, between its junction with Upper Appleford Road and its junction with Chale Bypass 32a, Chale. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Ditching Works.

The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 16 June 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 20 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, Daniel Street will be closed between its junctions with St Johns Road and a point 85 metres north-east thereof. The One-Way restriction will be revoked along Daniel Street, for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 13 June 2025 and Friday 12 September 2025 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to 3 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and investigation works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe.
