Brentwood - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic For Carriageway Works

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Fingrith Hall Road, Blackmore) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fingrith Hall Road in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Redrose Lane to its junction with Orchard Piece a distance of approximately 100m.The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th July 2025 for 18 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-2272 – Ferns Group). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Ferns Group.

An alternative route is available via Fingrith Hall Road, Nine Ashes Road, Redrose Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hutton Road, Shenfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hutton Road, Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Hutton Road, Shenfield for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th July 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (NK102LCIN00134 – Virgin Media). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway works are undertaken by Virgin Media.

No diversion route is available

The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Blackmore Road, Blackmore) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Blackmore Road, Blackmore in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Wenlocks Lane for a distance of approximately 65m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410272363 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ferrule renew works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Blackmore Road, Ongar Road, Nine Ashes Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 11th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
