TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC143547779: The City of Manchester (Atherton Street & Great John Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Atherton Street & Great John Street from Little John Street to Quay Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Quay Street, Lower Byrom Street, Great John Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the replacement of the generator on level 10 of Transmission House Versa Studios with a new unit. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 21st June 2025 with back up date of the 28th June 2025.
The order shall come into operation on 21st June 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
