Albemarle Street - Temporary Prohitibion of driving order

ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 09 June 2025 The Council of the Borough of South Tyneside (“the Council”) made an Order under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the Order is to introduce Limited Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 20 mins no return within 40mins on Albemarle St from a point 42m southwest of its junction with Fowler St in a south easterly direction for 22m. No Waiting At Any Time on Albemarle St east side from a point 35m south west of its junction with Fowler St in a south eastwards direction for 22.5m and continuing in a south westwards direction for
5.5m and in a north westwards direction for 20.5m and continuing in a north eastwards direction for 5m and west side from a point 42m south west of its junction with Fowler St in a north westwards direction for 29m and in a south eastwards direction for 4m.
Full details are contained in the Order which, together with a map showing the length of roads affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6
weeks from 09 June 2025 when the Orde Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
