Sutton in Ashfield Bridleways No.175 and No.65 - Temporary Closure Of Bridleways

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BRIDLEWAYS
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL KINGSMILL BRIDGE BRIDLEWAYS (SUTTON IN ASHFIELD NO.175 AND NO.65 MANSFIELD NO.50, NO.23 AND NO.51) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall:-
(a) proceed on foot,
(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,
(c) cause any horse to proceed and
(d) cause any animal to proceed,
in the following lengths of bridleway in Sutton in Ashfield in the district of Ashfield and Mansfield in the district of Mansfield: -
Sutton in Ashfield Bridleways No.175 and No.65 and Mansfield Bridleways No.50, No.23 and No.51
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
From Monday, 7th July 2025 until Monday, 1st September 2025 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no alternative route on public rights of way.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out or in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the bridleways. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to enable bridge repairs and resurfacing works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the bridleways.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 18TH DAY OF june 2025.
