What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – MALLORY ROAD, HOVE

  1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 9 June 2025 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-

    a) The closure of Mallory Road, Hove from its junction with Woodruff Avenue to its junction with Onslow Road.

  2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to INSERT 256m OF 75mm PE MAIN AND ABANDON 256m OF 4” SPUN IRON MAIN. MAKE 4 CONNECTIONS AND REPLACE 37 SERVICES.

  3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

  4. This Order comes into force on 16 June 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 4 July 2025.
