THE PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) REGULATIONS 1990 (AS AMENDED) NOTICE UNDER REGULATION 5 (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the following application has been submitted to Crawley Borough Council for permission.

Applicant: Crawley Borough Council

Location: 49 - 51 HIGH STREET, NORTHGATE, CRAWLEY RH10 1BQ

Proposed Development: REPAIRS TO 49-51 HIGH STREET INCLUDING:

Roof: Replace damaged Horsham Stone and clay roof tiles where required and repointing of brickwork on both chimneys. Repair of section of tiled roof structure.

Front elevation: Restoration of render infill panels, replacement of lead detailing on southern gable. Repairs to bay window. Repairs to timber work around historic door adjacent to northern gable.

Rear elevation: Removal and replacement of mono pitched roof to southern rear extension. Remove modern render and repair and repoint brickwork underneath render. Repair works to fire escape door. Removal of failed asbestos promenade tiles and replacement of existing access walkway covering. New roof felt to be installed around rear roof light. Restoration of damaged first floor window.

North side elevation: Repoint brickwork on chimneybreast and side elevation. Removal of rotten glazing and frame and installation of new window on the ground floor. Repair works to waste pipe along first storey side elevation and fire escape door.

Internal works including the repair of damaged plaster on the ground floor and first floors. Removal and replacement of damaged timbers. Restore lathe and plaster linings. Minor alterations to fireplaces.
