Barnet, Temporary Road Closures Due To Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 SECTION 14(1) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

HIGH STREET EN5

The BARNET LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to the need to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works, they intend to make an Order which will close High Street EN5 between Moxon Street and High Barnet Station, while works take place. The works will commence on Thursday 10th July 2025 at 10pm and is expected to last for 13 nights.

The road closures on High Street Barnet, will take place in phases as follows:

Phase 1 - Full Closure - Junction of Park Road EN5 to the junction of Moxon Street. - 23 June to 26 June 2025. Time: 10pm to 5am.

Phase 2 - Directional Closure - Junction of Wood Street to outside High Barnet Train Station (South Bound) - 26 June to 1 July 2025. Time: 10pm to 5am.

Phase 3 - Directional Closure - Junction of Wood Street to outside High Barnet Train Station (North Bound) - 1 July to 5th July. Time: 10pm to 5am.

The alternative route for motorists will be via

(a) Phase 1 (Full Closure) A1081, Stapylton Road and Wood Street

(b) Phase 2 & 3 (Directional Closures) Great North Road, Hadley Green, Hadley Highstone, Barnet Road, Southgate Road, Stagg Hill, Cockfosters Road, Cat Hill, Brookhill Road and Station Road. Nothing in the above paragraphs shall apply to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a Police Officer in uniform or other uniformed personnel authorised by the Commissioner of the Metropolis.
