Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
B2027 Penshurst Road & Penshurst Lane, Leigh, TN11 8RP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of gas mains connections, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 Penshurst Road and Penshurst Lane, Leigh, on or after 23rd June 2025 for up to 23 days or until the works have been completed.
B2027 Penshurst Road will be closed between Fyldon and Southmead.
Penshurst Lane will be closed between Fyldon and Pantiles.
The alternative route for B2027 Penshurst Road is via B2027 Penshurst Road/High Street/Hildenborough Road/Stocks Green Road/Leigh Road, B245 Tonbridge Road/London Road, A227 High Street, B2260 High Street/Railway Approach/Quarry Hill Road, A26 Quarry Hill Road/ London Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge/Penshurst Road/Rogues Hill/High Street/Penshurst Road/Station Hill/Moorden Lane, B2027 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for Penshurst Lane is via B2027 Tonbridge Road, B2176 Moorden Lane/Station Hill, Penshurst Road and vice versa.
Grassy Lane & Oak Lane, Sevenoaks, TN13 1NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage works to prevent further flooding to properties, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grassy Lane and Oak Lane, Sevenoaks or until the works have been completed.
Grassy Lane will be closed between Oak Lane and Highcroft from 23rd June 2025, with estimated completion by 6th July 2025.
Oak Lane will be closed between Grassy Lane and Kirkella from 7th July 2025, with estimated completion by 20th July 2025.
The alternative route for Grassy Lane is via Oak Lane, Ashgrove Road, Burntwood Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for Oak Lane is via A225 High Street, A224 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, Brittains Lane and vice versa.
High Street, Chipstead, TN13 2RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of SGN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Chipstead, on or after 7th July 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 57.
The alternative route is via High Street, Homedean Road, A25 Westerham Road, A25 Worships Hill, Witches Lane, Chipstead Lane and vice versa.
High Street, Otford, TN14 5PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of South East Water remedial works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Otford, on or after 26th June 2025 for up to 1 night between 19.30hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 11A.
The alternative route is via A225 Sevenoaks/Otford Road, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road/Maidstone Road, A224 London Road, Pilgrims Way West and vice versa.
Horton Road, Horton Kirby, DA4 9AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of tree safety works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Horton Road, Horton Kirby, on or after 9th July 2025 for up to 2 days between 09:30hrs and 15:00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Station Road and Jacobs Lane.
The alternative route is via Station Road, A225 Dartford Road, A20 London Road, Eglantine Lane, Lombard Street, The Street, Horton Road and vice versa.
Knatts Valley Road, Knatts Valley, TN15 6XY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage cleansing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Knatts Valley Road, Knatts Valley, on or after 10th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Knatts Lane and Kings Halt.
The alternative route is via Knatts Valley Road, Botsom Lane, A20 London Road, School Lane, Tinkerpot Lane and vice versa.
Knighton Road, Otford, TN14 5NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Knighton Road, Otford, on or after 24th June 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 13.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Otford Lane, Halstead, TN14 7EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new water connection Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Otford Lane, Halstead, on or after 23rd June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Mission Church.
The alternative route is via Shoreham Road, Shoreham Lane, Badgers Mount Roundabout, A224 London Road/Polhill, Otford Lane and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way, Westerham, TN16 2DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of highway improvement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Westerham, on or after 23rd June 2025 for up to 2 days between 09.00hrs and 15.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in two sections - between B2024 Croydon Road and A233 London Road and between A233 London Road and Force Green Lane. Only one side will be closed at a time.
The alternative routes for any through traffic is via:
Diversion 1 - Pilgrims Way, B2024 Croydon Road, A25 High Street, A25 Market Square, A233 London Road.
Diversion 2 - Pilgrims Way, A233 London Road, Force Green Lane, Pilgrims Way.
Wickenden Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 3NY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of full reconstruction of the carriageway and footway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wickenden Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 7th July 2025 for up to 82 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed on the southern extent of the road.
The alternative route is via Wickenden Road, A225 St Johns Hill and vice versa.
