Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
Bottom Pond Road, Wormshill, ME9 0TP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow village gateway installation to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bottom Pond Road, Wormshill, on or after 25th June 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Gossy Hill Road and Twin Hills Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bottom Pond Road, Gossy Hill Road, The Street, Twin Hills Lane and vice versa.
Broad Street Hill, Hollingbourne, ME17 1QY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broad Street Hill, Hollingbourne, on or after 7th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside property named Norton Charity, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broad Street Hill, Church Road, Admiral Road, Hollingbourne Hill, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.
Buckland Hill, Maidstone, ME16 0SQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow carriageway repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Buckland Hill, Maidstone, on or after 9th July 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Claire House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Buckland Hill, St Peters Street, Buckland Road and vice versa.
Church Lane, Bicknor (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Lane, Bicknor, on or after 11th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Fourayes Farm and the junction with Bicknor Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kennel Barn Road, Hazel Street, Admiral Road, Church Lane and vice versa.
East Street, Hunton, ME15 0QX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Street, Hunton, on or after 23rd June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 100m east of North Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via East Street, Hunton Road, Green Lane, Underlyn Lane, B2079 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, Upper Hunton Hill, Hunton Hill and vice versa.
Gleaming Wood Drive, Lordswood, ME5 8XQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gleaming Wood Drive, Lordswood, on or after 30th June 2025 for up to 96 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from property number 37 to the junction with Birch Drive. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic except between the dates of 15th August 2025 and 18th August 2025 is via Gleaming Wood Drive, Clandon Road, Albemarle Road, Dargets Roundabout, Lordswood Lane, Badger Road, Gleaming Wood Drive and vice versa.
The alternative route for any through traffic between the dates of 15th August 2025 and 18th August 2025 only is via Gleaming Wood Drive, Clandon Road, Albemarle Road, Dargets Roundabout, Dargets Road, Princes Avenue, Walderslade Roundabout, Walderslade Road, Walderslade Village By-pass, Robin Hood Lane, Fostington Way, Walderslade Woods, Lordswood Lane, Gleaming Wood Drive and vice versa.
Goddington Lane, Harrietsham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow carriageway patching works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goddington Lane, Harrietsham, on or after 7th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little Goddington. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Lenham Road, Headcorn, TN27 9LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of Lenham Road, Headcorn, on or after 7th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
Lenham Road will be closed between the junctions of Hop Pocket Way and Baker Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Lenham Road will have a temporary speed restriction of 30mph imposed between the junctions of Hop Pocket Way and Baker Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Chartway Street, A274 North Street, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Mill Bank, Kings Road and vice versa.
New Barn Road, Sutton Valence (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on New Barn Road, Sutton Valence, on or after 9th July 2025 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.
New Barn Road will be closed between Four Oaks Road and A274 Headcorn Road, on the 9th July 2025, 10th July 2025 and 24th July 2025 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
New Barn Road will have a 20mph speed limit imposed between Four Oaks Road and A274 Headcorn Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Barn Road, Four Oaks Road, Plumtree Road, Four Oaks Road, Summerhill, Moat Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, and vice versa.
Norrington Road, Maidstone, ME15 9QX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow jointing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Norrington Road, Maidstone, on or after 24th June 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside property numbers 21 to 25. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Berwyn Grove, Paynes Lane, Pear Tree Lane and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way, Detling, ME14 3LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Detling, on or after 26th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Medway House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Thurnham Lane, Ware Street, Hockers Lane, The Street and vice versa.
Redwall Lane, Linton, ME15 0RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Redwall Lane, Linton, on or after 7th July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Elm Stables. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Redwall Lane, George Street, East Street and vice versa.
Smarden Road & Headcorn Road, Headcorn, TN27 9TA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Smarden Road & Headcorn Road, Headcorn, on or after 23rd June 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Bedlam Lane to the junction of Smith Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Headcorn Road, Smarden Bell Road, Shenley Road, A274 Biddenden Road, Smarden Road and vice versa.
Water Lane, Headcorn, TN27 9JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Headcorn, on or after 7th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property called The Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Water Lane, Moat Road, Summerhill, Four Oaks Road, Plumtree Road, Hawkenbury Road, Headcorn Road, A229 High Street, Frittenden Road, Staplehurst Road, Headcorn Road, Water Lane and vice versa.
