What is happening?

EAST SUFFOLK COUNCIL

(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that East Suffolk Council, under Sections 32, 35 and 35A and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Local Authority Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and all other enabling powers, has made the above Order. The general nature and effect of the Order is to:

Regulate the use of and set the charges to be made in East Suffolk Council’s off-street parking places; and

Revoke and replace the existing East Suffolk Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2020 and the East Suffolk Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment No.1) Order 2021.

The parking places within the Order, together with the class of vehicle permitted, the maximum stay, the operating and charging hours, and the charges are as follows:

The Order was made on 29 May 2025 and came into effect on 1 June 2025. A copy of the Order, the Statement of Reasons and any other applicable documents can be inspected on the Council’s website, or during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at East Suffolk House, Station Road, Melton, Woodbridge, IP12 1RT; or at Riverside, 4 Canning Road, Lowestoft, NR33 0EQ.

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
