Warrington - Temporary Road Closures due to Carriageway and Footway Resurfacing
What is happening?

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Farrell St & Adjacent St’s (Prohibition of Driving, Clearway & Suspension) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which will be as follows: Prohibition of Driving & Clearway; Farrell St from its jct. with Church St to its jct. with Howley Ln; Ellesmere St from its jct. with Farrell St for 25m; Egerton St from its jct. with Farrell St for 25m; St Elphins Cl from its jct. with Farrell St for 25m; Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (St. Katherines Way, Warrington) (One-Way) Order 2017 in its entirety. The Order will be effective from 30th June 2025. The restrictions are for a period of 6 weeks, between 7pm & 1am. The alternative route will be via Church St, Manchester Rd, Kingsway Nth & vice versa. The restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing. Ref: 14390252
Various Roads in Grappenhall (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which will be to introduce the following: Prohibition of Driving & Clearway; Entire lengths of road: George’s Cres; Nicholls St; Barton Ave; Victoria Ave; Part lengths of road: Lumb Brook Rd from a point 130m north of the jct. with Dingle Ln to a point 125m east of the jct. with Dodd’s Ln; Middlehurst Rd from the jct. with Killdonan Rd to the jct. with York Rd; Parkland Cl extending head from No. 18 to No 38. The Order will be effective from 7th July 2025. The restrictions are for a period of 8 weeks, between 8:30am & 5:30pm. The diverted routes will be as follows: George’s Cres via Liverpool Rd, Hood Ln, Huntley St, Malpas Dr Banbury Dr, Dodd’s Ln & vice versa; Nicholls St via Sycamore Ln, Hood Ln Nth & vice versa; Lumb Brook Rd via George Rd, Liverpool Rd, Penketh Rd & vice versa; Middlehurst Rd via Marina Ave, Buckingham Dr, Banbury Dr & vice versa; Victoria Ave via Dorchester Rd, Sycamore Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required for road or footway surfacing Ref: 14390452
The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
