Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 11 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Littleheath Lane (D6855) Cobham and Blundel Lane (D6864) Stoke D’Abernon that is crossed by the Level Crossing known as Cooks Level Crossing and for a distance of 20 metres to either side.
Alternative Route – Littleheath Lane; Water Lane; Fairmile Lane; A245 Stoke Road; and Blundell Lane or this same route in reverse.
This 18-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 27 June 2025 is required to facilitate mechanical wet bed removal works and/or maintenance works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the lengths of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over three nights between the hours of 11pm and 5am.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for the emergency services, cyclists, and pedestrians will be maintained when safe to do so via operatives on site.
All other traffic including local residents will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Fisher Lane (D161) Chiddingfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 6 June 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Fisher Lane (D161) Chiddingfold between western boundary of the property known as “The Copse” and the access to the property known as “Downlands”.
Alternative Route – Plaistow Road, Chiddingfold Road, High Street Green, Pickhurst Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Connect It Utility Services to facilitate a new electricity supply and all associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 June 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
St Omer Road (D4007) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 11 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of St Omer Road (D4007) Guildford as extends from its junction with (X4007) St Omer Ridge to its junction with (D4007) Tangier Road.
Alternative Route: St Omer Road, (A246) Epsom Road, and Tangier Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate crane operation works for, or on behalf of Coussens Cranes.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 June 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
It will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure for residents and businesses and they will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) (a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Chobham Lane (C10) Longcross
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 11 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Chobham Lane (C10) Longcross.
Alternative Route: (B386) Longcross Road, and Kitsmead Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate telecom equipment repairs works for, or on behalf of Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 June 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians.
All other traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Hurst Lane (D3274) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 11 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Hurst Lane (D3274) Egham.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of telecommunication duct works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 June 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
Hook Lane and Puttenham Lane (D93) Shackleford
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
(Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2025
On 11 June 2025 Surrey County Council Made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit heavy commercial vehicles exceeding 7.5Tonnes from entering or proceeding in the entire length of (a) Hook Lane (D93) Shackleford; (b) Puttenham Lane (D93) Shackleford.
This Order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road.
It is anticipated that the remedial works will be carried out over 5 months, within the 17-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 17 June 2025 and continues in force the provisions imposed by “The Surrey County Council Hook Lane and Puttenham Lane (D93) Shackleford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2025” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 28 May 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The prohibition will not apply in relation to vehicles requiring access to premises or land in or adjacent to the said road, vehicles used by the emergency services or for the purposes of essential services, works and maintenance, and vehicles proceeding in accordance with directions given by Surrey Police, when requiring access to the said lengths of roads.
Alternative Route: (B3000) Hook Lane, (C20) The Street, Suffield Lane, Cuttmill Road, Lombard Street, and (D93) The Street, or this route in reverse.
D3192 Callow Hill, Virginia Water
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3192 Callow Hill, Virginia Water.
This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to gain access to existing telegraph poles to provide fibre overhead cabling and/or to carry out maintenance works in D3192 Callow Hill, Virginia Water between its southern junction with Hollow Lane and its junction with Woodlee Close.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, equestrians, cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route:- Christchurch Road, A30 London Road and Bakeham Lane.
D3871 Woodland Grove, Weybridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3871 Woodland Grove, Weybridge that extends from its junction with D3870 St Marys Road, to the northwestern property boundary of “No.67 Woodland Grove”.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Express Solutions Group to make new foul and surface water sewer connections and/or to carry out maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 2 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, equestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- St Marys Road, Oatlands Avenue and Woodland Grove.
Footpath from D4027 Waterside Road to D4027 Bellfields Road (T7063), Guildford
Temporary Closure Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the footpath from D4027 Waterside Road to D4027 Bellfields Road (T7063), Guildford.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Winvic to carry out reconstruction to the pathway and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 5am within the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Access for pedestrians will be maintained via the footway to Waterside Road, Old Farm Road, Old Woking Road and Bellfields Road.
C43 Critten Lane and C43 Beech Avenue, Effingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C43 Critten Lane, Effingham and that length of C43 Beech Avenue, Effingham that extends from its junction with D268 High Barn Road, to its junction with C43 Critten Lane.
This Traffic Order is required by J and G Traffic Management Services to enable tree surgery in C43 Critten Lane, on behalf of St Teresa’s School.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 1 week of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, equestrians, cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route:- Critten Lane, Ranmore Common Road, Ashcombe Road, A24 London Road, Mickleham By-Pass, London Road, A264 Young Street, Guildford Road, Leatherhead Road, Guildford Road and Beech Avenue.
D3864 Beverley Close, Weybridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3864 Beverley Close, Weybridge.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out water mains connection and/or maintenance works outside “No.2 Beverley Close”.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
There is no applicable alternative route however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Guildford Town Centre Races
(Temporary Traffic Measures) Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), for the purpose of holding a road cycling event, namely the Guildford Town Centre Races, organised by the Charlotteville Cycling Club.
The effect of the Order is to impose the following temporary restrictions: (1) Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads in Guildford specified in the Schedule to this Notice (including the junctions linking such roads).
Such restriction shall also apply in relation to equestrians and to the leading or driving of horses or any other animals; and (2) Suspend that part of “The County Council of Surrey (Guildford) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1987” (as amended) that imposes a one-way system of traffic (northbound) on Market Street (D4004) and a one-way system of traffic (north westbound) on High Street (A3100), Guildford.
The Order will not apply to any pedal cycle or other vehicle being used in connection with; and will come into effect on 07 July 2025 for a period of one day, but the prohibitions and suspensions will only be operative while the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf displays the relevant traffic signs and is anticipated to apply from 12pm until 10pm.
The Council are satisfied that, in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road to which this Order relates, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, vehicular access to and from premises along the lengths of roads described in the Schedule to this Notice will not be permitted but controlled access for pedestrians and the emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Emergency access for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas electricity water or electronic communications apparatus to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic will also be maintained.
The Council are also satisfied, in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 16A of the Act, that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road.
Traffic will be diverted via North Street, Woodbridge Road, Onslow Street, York Road, and London Road as appropriate. A copy of the Order together with a plan showing the lengths of roads to which the Order relates may be viewed at Guildford Library, 77 North Street, Guildford, Surrey GU1 4AL, during normal opening hours. Schedule
(a) that length of High Street (A3100) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4015) Quarry Street to its junction with (A246) Epsom Road and (A3100) London Road;
(b) that length of North Street (C93) Guildford as extends from its junction with (A320) Chertsey Street to its junction with (C93) Leapale Road;
(c) the entire length of Market Street (D4004) Guildford;
(d) that length of Haydon Place (D4004) Guildford as extends from its junction with (C93) North Street to its junction with (D4004) Martyr Road;

Downside Common Road (D6875) Downside Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in those lengths of Downside Common Road (D6875) Downside Cobham between the junction with Bookham Road (D6877) to the junction of Downside Common Road located:-
(a) opposite St Michaels Chapel (northbound phase); and (b) opposite the property known as “Avalon” (westbound phase).
Alternative Route – Downside Common Road.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole replacement and testing and all associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out in two separate phases over 2 days between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 5 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Dunsfold Road (B2130) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Dunsfold Road (B2130) Cranleigh between its junction with Dunsfold Common Road (C33) and its junction with Horsham Road (A281).
Alternative Route – B2130 (Dunsfold Road, Godalming Road, The Street, Hascombe Road and Brighton Road), A3100 (Flambard Way, Bridge Road, Meadrow, Guildford Road and Old Portsmouth Road), A248 (Broadford Road), A281 (Horsham Road, High Street, Birtley Road, Rooks Hill and Horsham Road) and B2130 (Dunsfold Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate white lining works and all associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Kings Lane (D3113) Englefield Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025
Surrey County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kings Lane (D3113) Englefield Green between points 50 metres and 140 metres west of the access to the scout hut.
Alternative Route – Bond Street, A238 (St Jude’s Road), A30 (London Road), Wick Road and Wick Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable OCU Group to facilitate high voltage works and all associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 9 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Thames Side (D3314) Laleham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Thames Side (D3314) Laleham as extends from its junction with (D3311) Ferry Lane to its junction with the entrance to “Laleham Car Park”.
Alternative Route: Ferry Lane, (B376) Shepperton Road, Littleton Lane, (B375) Chertsey Bridge Road, and Thames Side, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate excavation to fix cabling faults for, or on behalf of Fulcrum.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents, via road plates, if required, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Footpath No. 422 (Leigh)
Public Path Diversion Order 2025
The above Order, made on 27 May 2025 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A (2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will if confirmed, divert Footpath No. 422 (Leigh) from Grid Ref. 523844 146329 in an easterly direction for 175m to Dean Oak Road to a line running in a southerly direction for 21 metres to Grid Ref. 523850 146284, then in an easterly direction for 176 metres to a point at Dean Oak Road at Grid Ref. 524024 146308.
The total distance will be 223 metres at a width of 2 metres.
A copy of the Order and Map may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Access Office, Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ (by appointment Tel. 0300 200 1003) and at Mole Valley District Council, Pippbrook, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SJ or Horley Library, Victoria Road, Horley RH6 7AG during opening hours.

Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Surrey County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order.
Any representations not withdrawn will be sent with the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation.
