Cumberland, Multiple Road Closures Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE CUMBERLAND COUNCIL AREA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.9) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.
Vehicular traffic will be diverted as indicated by the display of relevant traffic signs and when the temporary closures are in force. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained.

The Order will come into operation on 21 June 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months.
However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE
EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
1. U2113 Bewaldeth – From 21 June 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTRO/C14604)
The entire length of the U2113, extending from its junction with the C2004.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
2. U2178 Lamplugh – From 23 June 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTRO/C14609)
From its junction with the C2004 to its junction with the C2005.
Alternative Route: via the C2005 and C2004.
3. U2199 Lorton – From 26 June 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTRO/C14605)
From its junction with the U2200 to its junction with the B5289.
Alternative Route: via the B5289 and U2200.
4. C2028 Bimbleton – From 28 June 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTRO/C14609)
From its junction with the C2046 to its junction with the A66.
Alternative Route: via the A66, B5291 and C2046.
5. U2173 Downey – From 3 July 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTRO/C14692)
From a point approx. 330m south west of its junction with Woodlands Grange, extending in an overall westerly direction for approx. 370m.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
6. C2027 Whytoo Mill – From 8 July 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTRO/C14691)
From its junction with the U2206 to its junction with the U2205.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2027, B5291, A66 and the C2028.
