(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER, 2025
The NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, hereby gives notice that it intends to make an Order - Great Eastern Road, Stratford, E15, (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic), Order 2025. The general effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians, cyclists and vehicular traffic from proceeding or waiting on the public highway on or near the various roads listed in the schedule below.
The Order will be made to enable Thames Water and its contractors to carry out utility works, on or near the road.
The prohibition applies from Monday 30?? June 2025 until Tuesday 29?? December 2026 or on completion of the works, whichever is the sooner.
Vehicular and cycle traffic may be diverted via local adjacent roads, one way streets where necessary may revert to two-way working when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c). Parking prohibitions will apply when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to vehicles being used for Fire, Ambulance or Police purposes, or with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform, or a suitably Authorised Officer. Nothing in paragraph 4 of the Order shall apply to vehicles necessarily used in connection with the works.
