THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (ALCONBURY, CAMBRIDGESHIRE) NORTHBOUND EXIT SLIP ROAD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 202_
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the A1 Trunk Road in the County of Cambridgeshire to enable nearby third-party carriageway works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place over 4 nights (8pm to 6am) starting on, or after, Monday 30 June 2025.
The effect of the Order would be to close, the exit slip road leading from the northbound carriageway of the A1 at Alconbury – diverting traffic to exit at Brampton Hut Roundabout, then eastbound on the A141, northbound on the A1307 to join the B1043 at Alconbury Weald and continue their journey.
The closure (which would not apply to works or emergency services vehicles) and diversion route would be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order would come into force on 30 June 2025 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, whichever is the earlier.
