What is happening?

ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to temporarily close a length of highway and to introduce a temporary speed restriction, no right turns and no U turns as outlined below in Blyth in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective on the 21st June 2025.
Road Closure
U9525 Links Road, Blyth for its entire length.
Temporary Restrictions
The order will further temporarily restrict the speed of all traffic to 30 mph in both directions on the sections of the A193 Links Road from it junction with A193 Links Road Roundabout heading southwards for a distance of 860 metres.
The order will further prohibit No Right Turns and No U Turns by vehicular traffic in both directions on the sections of the A193 Links Road from it junction with A193 Links Road Roundabout heading southwards for a distance of 860 metres.
It is expected that the road closure, temporary speed restriction, no right turns and no U turns will be in place on 21st June 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 23:00; however, the order will remain in place all day on the 21st June 2025.
There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

The closure has been requested by the organiser of Blyth Live Music Festival to safely manage traffic for their event.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
