Nailsea (Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2025
Ref: OSPP/DB/52025
Notice is hereby given that on the 5 June 2025 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to permit parking according to the new provisions for car parking at locations in Nailsea and Clevedon, with relevant new prices for such parking in accordance with the service charges.
The order comes into operation on the 12 June 2025 and copies of this order together with a statement of the Council's reasons for making the order may be inspected at: https://www.n-somerset.gov.uk/my-services/parking-travel-roads/roads-streets/commont/traffic-regulation-orders
Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may do so within the six weeks after the date on which the order was made, by application to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice of Public Path Order
Highways Act 1980 Section 119
North Somerset District Council
Part of Restricted Byways LA 174/3 and LA 173/3, and Parts of Public Footpaths LA 174/3 and LA 173/3, Castle Farm, Dundry
Public Path Diversion Order No.1:2025
The above Order, made 13 May 2025, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of Restricted Byway LA 174/4 and LA 173/3 and parts of Public Footpaths LA 174/3 and LA 173/3 in the Parish of Dundry to the position described in the Schedule:
Schedule
Part of Restricted Byway LA 174/3 from point E (grid ref. ST 568562 668649) running in a south, south westerly direction to point B (grid ref. ST 564186 668221), a total distance of approximately 282m, to be diverted to a Byway LA 173/3 from point E to point G (grid ref. ST 568479 668421) running generally south to point H (grid ref. ST 567812 667811), then westerly to point C (grid ref. ST 567647 667694), a total distance of approximately 280m.
Part of Public Footpath LA 174/3 and LA 173/3 from point B (grid ref. ST 564186 668221) running in a generally south west, westerly direction to point E (grid ref. ST 561685 667413), a total distance of approximately 501m, to be diverted to a footpath from point B running southerly to point F (grid ref. ST 563413 667110), then in a generally westerly direction to point E (grid ref. ST 561685 667413), a total distance of approximately 430m.
To depart from point G (grid ref. ST 568479 668421) and run generally south, south westerly to point J (grid ref. ST 564185 667871), then westerly to point E (grid ref. ST 561685 667413), a total distance of approximately 588m.
Part of Public Footpath LA 173/3 from point G (grid ref. ST 568479 668421) running in a generally southerly direction to point F (grid ref. ST 563413 667110), a total distance of approximately 682m, to be diverted to a footpath running in a south westerly direction from point G to point H, then continuing in an easterly direction from point H to point J (grid ref. ST 564924 668271), a total distance of approximately 135m.
A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at the address below during normal office hours.
Any representations or objections with respect to the Order may be sent in writing to the address below not later than 11th July 2025 and should state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Somerset District Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order.
If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)
Notice in Respect of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, has made an order the effect of which is to:
Footpaths The Perrings to Shipham Close, Nailsea, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025
Ref: WL24-25-380
Coming Into Force: 23 June 2025
Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this notice. Exemptions are provided for any emergency service vehicles and works permit holders in premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
The order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon works by National Grid for associated substation works which are being carried out. The closures will operate on the 23 June 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may be in force intermittently within the stated period for 18 days in duration.
Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

The Perrings, Nailsea, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025
Date coming Into Force: 23 June 2025
Ref: WL24-25-384
Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice, to enable the land to be made safe for public works access, works vehicles and works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
The Order was required because of the need to danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to facilitate landing and removal of substation parts by crane.
The closures will come into force on the 23 June 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of six months but may be intermittent within that period but only as necessitated by the works in two phases which is anticipated to be a duration of 4 hours on the 25 June 2025 and 4 hours on the 4 July 2025 between 10am and 2pm.
Appropriate traffic and pedestrian signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 26 June 2025
Ref: SW/24-25-392
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This order will become operative on the 26 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of this period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule – The Street approximately 270m north from junction Pool Lane to 450m south of junction Lower Strode.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 12 June 2025
Ref: SW/25-26-037
Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Taylor Wimpey for development works. This order will become operative on the 12 June 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of this period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 8 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 26 June 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon works by North Somerset Council in drainage, new duct and new footways. This order will become operative on the 26 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of this period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 months in duration.

Temporary One-Way Restriction, Temporary No Loading or Waiting Restriction 2025
Date coming into Force: 16 June 2025
Ref: SW/25-26-040
Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon nearby work by Wales & West Utilities Ltd for public and traffic safety purposes during gas main replacement works. This order will become operative on the 16 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 61 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs and cones will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule –
One-Way Restriction: All Saints Lane for full extent in a northerly direction.
No Waiting or Loading Restriction:
Wellington Terrace for 142m outside property numbers 10 to 20
Castle Road for 88m on both sides of the road, outside and opposite property numbers 28 to 34.
