What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(DUCK STREET AND LEIGHTON STREET, WOBURN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Duck Lane, Woburn at the junction with Leighton Street and Leighton Street, Woburn from High Street to Duck Lane.
This temporary closure is required to enable gas main replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on Duck Lane, Woburn between the 3rd and 17th of July 2025 and Leighton Street, Woburn between the 10th and 14th July 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative routes for the closures are as follows:
Duck Lane, Woburn via London End and Leighton Street
Leighton Street, Woburn diversion 1 via B5704, Church Lane, Sheep Lane, Leighton Street
Leighton Street, Woburn diversion 2 via C93, Bow Brickhill, Longslade Lane, Newport Road, Bedford Street, Leighton Street
The Order will come into operation on 3 July 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Southern Gas Networks - 08009121700.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of School Lane, Husborne Crawley.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 30 June to 2 July 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Bedford Road, A507, B5704 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Husborne Crawley between School Lane and The Cement Works.
This temporary closure is required to enable ditch clearance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 18 June 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via School Lane, B5704, A507 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 16 June 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
