What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U4044 LOWER DALES VIEW ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4044 Lower Dales View Road, Ipswich from Norwich Road to Kensington Road to facilitate manhole cover repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Norwich Road, Valley Road, Dale Hall Lane, Cotswold Avenue, Parkview Road, Dales View Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on the 11/06/2025 from 10am to 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U6316 EAST BARTON ROAD, GREAT BARTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6316 East Barton Road, Great Barton from 470 metres north of the junction with Mount Road for 20 metres north west to facilitate the installation of a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Bury Road, Orttewell Road, Mount Road - Bury St Edmunds, Mount Road - Rougham and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/06/2025 - 13/06/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U4929 HEATH ROAD, HESSETT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4929 Heath Road, Hessett from the junction with Nether Street for 200 metres south eastbound to facilitate the removal of overhead power lines and poles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Nether Street, High Rougham, Quaker Lane, The Street, Heath Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 11/06/2025 from 10am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U8525 WICK ROAD, STOKE BY NAYLAND

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8525 Wick Road, Stoke by Nayland from Wick Road, Boxted for 20 metres northbound to facilitate repairs to an unsafe bridge structure. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the B1068, Higham Road, Lower Street, Stratford Road, Ipswich Road, Dedham Road, Low Lift Cottage Road, Dorcuras Farm Road, Water Lane, Skye Hall Hill, Dedham Road, Cooks Hill, Parsonage Hill, Church Road, Burnt Dick Hill, Park Road, the A134, the B1087, the B1068 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/06/2025 - 19/12/2026 (or longer if extended by the Minister).
