ANGUS COUNCIL

On Monday, 09 June 2025, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Forfar Gala Day Parade) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2025, under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, for the purpose of minimising danger to the public attending or participating in a public procession. The Order is effective between 11.30am and 12pm (noon) on Sunday, 15 June 2025, and prohibits the driving of vehicles in East High Street, The Cross, Castle Street and Myre Road, Forfar. The above restrictions will be implemented on the basis of a “rolling” road closure with “points” traffic control at junctions along the route controlled by Police Officers in uniform. Access for pedestrians and vehicles will be maintained. There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.
