Dorset, Temporary Road Closures Due To Carriageway Repairs & Maintenance Works

THE A35 TRUNK ROAD (TROY TOWN TO TOLPUDDLE BALL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) has made an Order on the A35 trunk road in the County of Dorset to allow carriageway repairs and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place commencing on or after 12 June 2025 and be completed by 22 June 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to authorise:

(a) the overnight closure (20.00 to 06.00) of:

(i) the A35 eastbound and westbound between Troy Town Junction and Tolpuddle Ball Junction;

(ii) the A35 eastbound entry and westbound exit slip roads at Troy Town Junction;

(iii) the A35 eastbound and westbound entry and exit slip roads at Northbrook Junction;

(iv) the A35 eastbound exit and westbound entry slip roads at Tolpuddle Ball Junction

(b) the all day (24hour) closure of the laybys adjacent to the above length of the A35.

During the closure described above traffic will be diverted via junctions of the A35 and local roads.

The closures (which will not apply to emergency services or works vehicles), and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.

The Order will come into force on 11 June 2025 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
