What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FROGMORE HILL, WATTON AT STONE AND 3U9 (UNNAMED ROAD), ASTON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Frogmore Hill, Watton At Stone from a point 213m north west of its junction with 3U9 (unnamed road) south eastwards for a distance of approximately 533m.

An alternative route will be via Frogmore Hill, Astonbury Lane, Aston Lane, Stringers Lane, Benington Road, Walkern Road, High Street, A602 Hooks Cross and Frogmore Hill.

2. that length of 3U9 (unnamed road), Aston from its junction with Frogmore Hill north eastwards to its junction with Walkern Road, a distance of approximately 312m.

An alternative route will be via Frogmore Hill, Astonbury Lane, Aston Lane, Stringers Lane, Benington Road and Walkern Road or via Frogmore Hill, A602 Hooks Cross, High Street and Walkern Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ANDREWS LANE, GOFFS OAK) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Andrews Lane, Goffs Oak from its junction with Lea Mount north westwards to its junction with Rosewood Gardens, a distance of approximately 58m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Andrews Lane, Rosedale Way, B156 Goffs Lane, Newgatestreet Road, St James Road, Rags Lane and Andrews Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FRIARS ROAD, BRAUGHING) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Friars Road, Braughing from a point 250m south east of its junction with Braughing Public Bridleway No.017 south eastwards to its junction with Braughing Public Bridleway No.033, a distance of approximately 532m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GLADSTONE ROAD, WARE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gladstone Road, Ware from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.59 Gladstone Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 21m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Gladstone Road, B1001 Watton Road and Gladstone Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF APPLEBY STREET, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Appleby Street, Cheshunt from a point in line with the western boundary of ‘Meadow View’ south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Appleby Street, Park Lane, Debenham Road, Longfield Lane, Adamsfield, Holbeck Lane and Appleby Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CROUCH LANE, GOFFS OAK) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak from a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘Little Hennons’ southwards for a distance of approximately 122m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Crouch Lane, Rags Lane, St James Road, Newgatestreet Road and Crouch Lane.

The Order is needed because water main installation and reinstatement works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTPATHS IN CHESHUNT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath (“the Footpaths”):-

1. the footpath situated on the north west side of No.35 Dickson, Cheshunt from its junction with Dickson south westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. the footpath situated on the north east side of Nos.44-49 Dickson, Cheshunt from its junction with Dickson north westwards to its junction with Cowles, a distance of approximately 60m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north west side of Dickson, the footway situated on the west side of Frensham, the footway situated on the south side of Peakes Way and the footway situated on the east and north sides of Cowles.

3. the footpath situated between No.6 and No.12 Dickson, Cheshunt from its junction with Dickson south eastwards and clockwise for a distance of approximately 127m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south east side of Dickson and the footway situated on the south side of Frensham.

4. the footpath situated on the north west side of No.13 Dickson, Cheshunt from its junction with Dickson north eastwards for a distance of approximately 74m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. the footpath situated on the south, west and north sides of Nos.21-32 Frensham, Cheshunt from its junction with Rosedale Way south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Rosedale Way and the footway situated on the west side of Fensham.

6. the footpath situated on the north side of Nos.20-24 Dickson, Cheshunt from its junction with Dickson south eastwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 32m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north east and south east sides of Dickson, the footway situated on the south and west sides of Frensham and the footway situated on the east side of Rosedale Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHERRY GREEN LANE AND 3U20 (UNNAMED ROAD), WESTMILL) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Cherry Green Lane, Westmill from its junction with 3U20 (unnamed road) south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards and westwards to its junction with Cherry Green, a distance of approximately 2070m.

An alternative route will be via 3U20 (unnamed road), C16 (unnamed road) and Cherry Green Lane.

2. that length of 3U20 (unnamed road), Westmill from its junction with The Street south eastwards to its junction with C16 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 1410m.

An alternative route will be via Aspenden Road, London Road, A10 (unnamed road), the A10 Puckeridge Bypass/B1368 Buntingford Road roundabout, A10 (unnamed road), Station Hill and C16 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN WALKERN ROAD, WATTON AT STONE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Walkern Road, Watton at Stone from its junction with Church Green north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Benington Road, a distance of approximately 1894m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Walkern Road, High Street, A602 (Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way/Monkswood Way), A1155 (St Georges Road/Fairlands Way), B1037 (Fairlands Way/ Stevenage Road), High Street and Benington Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B158 WADESMILL ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B158 Wadesmill Road, Hertford from its junction with Watermill Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 632m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B158 (Wadesmill Road/Bengeo Street/Port Hill/Cowbridge/Old Cross/Mill Bridge/The Wash/ Parliament Square/Castle Street), A414 (Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 Westmill Road and B158 Wadesmill Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN CHESHUNT AND BROXBOURNE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Elm Drive, Cheshunt from its junction with Mill Lane south westwards to its junction with Cadmore Lane, a distance of approximately 450m.

An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, B176 High Street and Cadmore Lane.

2. that length of White Stubbs Lane, Broxbourne from its junction with Baas Hill north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Cock Lane, a distance of approximately 772m.

An alternative route will be via Baas Hill, Bell Lane, A1170 (High Road/High Street) and Cock Lane.

3. that length of Musgrave Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Allwood Road south eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. that length of Greenall Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Roundmoor Drive south eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
