Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Bix to Broad Plat Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 9 June 2025
Coming into force: 16 June 2025
This Order is being introduced because of fibre cable excavation/installations which are anticipated to be completed 27 June 2025. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of unnamed road running southeast from the A4130 towards Broad Plat (from the junction adjacent to Lodge Cottage to the junction adjacent to Woodside).
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for
access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic will be signed locally.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until
the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15459/AC)

Checkendon – Uxmore Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 27 January 2025
Came into force: 2 February 2025
Works recommence: 9 July 2025
This Order was introduced to clear additional blockages in fibre cablifurther works are required which are anticipated be completed 15 July 2025, operating between 19:00 and 05:00hours. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in parts of Uxmore Road from Deers Lane junction to outside Houndcroft, and from the junction adjacent The Chestnuts to the junction with Deer Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Uxmore Road, Road towards B481, B481, Gallowstree Road, Horsepond Road, A4074, Uxmore Road and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until
the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15740/AC)

Shiplake, Woodlands Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 23/06/2025
Coming into force: 1/07/2025
This Order is being introduced because of sewage works which are anticipated to take 15 days to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Woodlands Road from the A4155 junction to Pennyhill House. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A4155, Sheephouse Lane, Woodlands Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
