THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS)
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING ETC) (VARIATION NO 11) ORDER 2025 - TO/R5.3.138
Midlothian Council on 9 June 2025 made the above Order, which will come into force on 25 June 2025. The effect is to apply double yellow line waiting restrictions at the junction of Vaucluse Place and Jackson Street in Penicuik. Details may be examined until 28 July 2025 at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk, at Libraries and from david.chambers@midlothian.gov.uk.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of this Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any relevant regulation has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 9 June 2025 apply for this purpose to the Court of Session.
THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (SCHOOL STREETS)
(PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) (VARIATION NO _) ORDER 2025- TO/R5.127
The Council proposes to designate a section of Sixth Street in Newtongrange as a ‘School Street’. With specified exemptions, vehicles will not be able to use this road at times when children travel to and from Newtongrange Primary School. Residents of the restricted section will be invited to apply for a free permit allowing travel in the restricted periods.

Anyone wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds of their objection in writing, quoting reference R5.3.127, to: The Legal Services Manager, Midlothian Council, Midlothian House, 40 46 Buccleuch Street, Dalkeith EH22 1DN, or to legal@midlothian.gov.uk, to arrive not later than 4 July 2025.
