Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 The County Of Devon (Temporary Restriction) 

(Topsham Road, Exeter) Order 2025 
Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 7/7/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 1/8/25. 

No person shall proceed on the sections of Affected Paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of paths. 

Roads affected: Topsham Road, Exeter, Footway, Carriageway, Cycleway, Opp No. 1 Merchant Row - 0/S No. 554 Topsham Road. 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Topsham Road - Cycle Track From Newport Road To Exeter Road - Service Road For 400 To 550 Topsham Road - Topsham Road. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: FOR GAS MAINS REPLACEMENT WORKS.

Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic & Parking 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 16/6/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 4/7/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: Grace Road Central, Exeter, Footway, Carriageway, Junc Trusham Road. 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Grace Road Central - Hennock Road North - Alphinbrook Road - Trusham Road - Grace Road Central - Vice Versa. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Replace 33.36m Of Old Metallic Gas Mains With 33.36m Of New Plastic Mains & Renew/ Transfer Approx. 0 Service Pipes To Adjacent Premises.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via -"Road From Bowls Cross To Hayes Cottage", "Road From Bowls Cross To Danes Cross", "Road From Danes Cross To The Firs", "Road Past Lower Budlake", "Road From Gipsy Corner To Hay Lodge", "Road From West Clyst To Beaumont" & Vice Versa. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: INSTALLATION OF NEW HIGHWAY DRAINAGE.

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 9/6/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 18/6/25. 

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: HENNOCK ROAD CENTRAL, EXETER. 

THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE ROUTE & No person shall except upon the direction or with permission of a Police Officer in uniform cause or permit any vehicle to turn [left] from the road in column 1 on to the roads listed in column 2 in the Schedule. 

Roads affected HENNOCK ROAD CENTRAL, EXETER. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: GAS MAINS REPLACEMENT WORKS.
