Cumbria, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5106 PENNY BRIDGE AND C6001 BROUGHTON ROAD, DALTON IN FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
(i) U5106 Penny Bridge, from its junction with the U5105, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 420m.
Alternative Route: via the U5105, U5107 and the unrestricted section of the U5106.
Duration: From 11th June 2025 for approx 2 days (Ref: TTROW/14374)
(ii) C6001 Broughton Road, Dalton in Furness, from its junction with the U6098, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 320m.
Alternative Route: via the A595, C6009 Askam Road, Romney Park, Skelgate and the unrestricted section of the C6001.
Duration: From 24th June 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/14510)

The Order will come into operation on 11th June 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
