Cadzow Street/Quarry Street Area, Hamilton Traffic Management Order 2025
On 2 June 2025, South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order, under the terms of the Road Traffic Act 1984, thereby confirming the experimental order which introduced a traffic management scheme which will allow traffic to access Cadzow Street and Quarry Street, limit the access to Keith Street from Cadzow Street to buses, coaches and taxis, and introduce limited waiting and loading only within the bays on Cadzow Street, Quarry Street and Townhead Street, Hamilton.
The Order which comes into operation on 21 July 2025, was advertised in the Hamilton Advertiser on 21 December 2023.
The effect of the order is as previously stated within the South Lanarkshire Council (Cadzow Street/Quarry Street Area, Hamilton) (Experimental Traffic Management) Order 2024.
A copy of the Order and a map relative thereto are available for inspection on the council’s website.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by 14 July 2025, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
