Cumbria – Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (B6413 FRONT STREET, BRAMPTON AND U1197 FENTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. B6413 Front Street, Brampton from a point 40 metres north east of its junction with Low Cross Street, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 30m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B6413 Front Street, High Cross Street and the A6071 Main Street.
Duration: From 2 July 2025 for approx. 3 days between 0900 and 1500 hours

2. U1197 Fenton from a point adjacent to the property known as Willowdale, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 50m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U1197, C1035 How and U1196.
Duration: From 14 July 2025 for approx. 5 days

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 2 July 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months.
However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
