C746 Snailwell Road - Temporary Closure For Drainage Improvement Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C746 SNAILWELL ROAD, NEWMARKET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C746 Snailwell Road, Newmarket from the junction with Malcolm Way to the junction with Fordham Road to facilitate drainage improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Snailwell Road, Newmarket Road, Short Road, Snailwell Short Road, Fordham Road, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/06/2025 -04/07/2025 from 1pm - 9pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
