U112 Mount Road, U112 Tower Road - Temporary Road Closure

U112 MOUNT ROAD AND U112 TOWER ROAD TWEEDMOUTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Tweedmouth in the County of Northumberland:
U112 Mount Road Tweedmouth from is junction with U112 Tower Road for a distance of 27 metres heading in a south westwards direction.
U112 Tower Road Tweedmouth from its junction with U112 Mount Road for a distance of 6 metres heading in a south eastwards direction.
The Order is to be effective from the 7th July 2025 until the 25th July 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 7th July 2025 until the 11th July 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 25th July 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the U112, C424, C426 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to carry out underground weir works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
