Whittington Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
WHITTINGTON LANE, UNSTONE
WHEN: 03 July 2025 (08:00 to 16:00)
WHERE: Whittington Lane, Unstone between a point 350m south of its Jct. with Hardhurst Road, for a distance of 100m in a southerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate rail bridge inspection works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Whittington Lane, Unstone Road, Church Street North, B6052, Broomhill Road, B6057, Whittington Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
