What is happening?

U6109 CHALLONERS GARDENS MORPETH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6109 Challoners Gardens from its junction with High Stanners for a distance of 12 metres to its junction with U6109 Challoners Gardens Back Lane in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 16th June 2025 until the 4th July 2025.
It is expected that the road will be closed at all times from the 16th June 2025 until the 20th June 2025 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 4th July 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being High Stanners, Hollon Street, Challoners Gardens and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to excavate to carry our sewer repair works and reinstate.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
