What is happening?



SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) and
Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure
Regulations 1992 (SI 1992/1215)

BRA/56 (Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 2024 (“the Order”)

EXTENSION

1. Sheffield City Council (Council) gives notice that the Secretary of State has granted an Extension to the Order made in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 over an area of the highway named BRA/56 from BRA/53 to BRA/54B.
2. The Extension to the Order was granted because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said highway.
3. The Order made on 26 December 2024 was approved by the Secretary of State and an extension to the Order will continue in effect until 26 December 2025 or until completion of works, whichever is earlier.
4. While the Order is in operation: it will prohibit any pedestrian from travelling in the length of footpath as described in paragraph 1 of the Order.
5. The alternative route for the traffic affected by this Order will be signed on site.
