Oxford Road, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Highway Improvement Works

What is happening?

BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE COUNCIL OXFORD ROAD, BOURNEMOUTH -HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT WORKS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT:

  • Road closed to all vehicles and
  • No parking - no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

WHERE: Oxford Road from the property boundary of Nos.26-32 to its junction with St Paul's Road

WHY: Highway Improvement works by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council

WHEN: Anticipated dates 30th June 2025 until 18th July 2025

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

DIVERSION:

Exit Oxford Road via Oxford Road, Maderia Roundabout, Lansdowne Road, The Lansdowne Roundabout, Holdenhurst Road, St Paul's Road Enter Oxford Road via Bournemouth Station Roundabout, Holdenhurst Road, The Lansdowne Roundabout, Lansdowne Road, Maderia Roundabout, Oxford Road

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
