Cumbria - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL

(U2027 SEAVILLE, NEAR ABBEYTOWN, U1013 EASTON AND C1004 LONGTOWN)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. U2027 Seaville, near Abbeytown from a point adjacent to the property known as Marville, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 100m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2027, U2026 and B5302.

Duration: From 13 June 2025 for approx. 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/14661)

2. U1013 Easton, from its junction with the C1006, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 430m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U1013, U1012, C1007 and C1006

Duration: From 23 June 2025 for approx. 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/14769)

3. C1004 Longtown, from a point adjacent to the property known as West Rigg, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 200m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1004, C1007, U1021 and C1003.

Duration: From 23 July 2025 for approx. 1 day between 0930 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/14923)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 13 June 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
