What is happening?
CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
BERT ROAD, KIMBERLEY ROAD, KYNASTON AVENUE, KYNASTON CRESCENT & PITT ROAD, THORNTON HEATH - TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement work by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic on the above roads.
Whilst the said works are taking place the roads/sections of road will be closed as detailed below:

Whilst the closures are in place the diversion routes for traffic will be as detailed below:
Kimberley Road Southbound: Queens Road, Pawsons Road, Pitt Road, Kynaston Avenue
Kimberley Road Northbound: Queens Road, Bensham Lane
Bert Road Eastbound: Bensham Lane, Ecclesbourne Road, Kynaston Road, Kynaston Avenue
Bert Road Westbound: Bensham Lane, Queens Road, Pawsons Road, Pitt Road, Kynaston Avenue
Kynaston Avenue Southbound: Kimberley Road, Queens Road, Pawsons Road, Sandringham Road, Palmerston Road, Kynaston Road
Kynaston Avenue Northbound: Bert Road, Bensham Lane, Ecclesbourne Road, Kynaston Road
Pitt Road Eastbound: Kynaston Avenue, Kynaston Road, Sandringham Road, Palmerston Road, Pawsons Road
Kynaston Crescent: Kynaston Avenue, Kynaston Road, Sandringham Road, Palmerston Road, Pawsons Road
The Order will come into operation on 09 June 2025, and it is anticipated the works will be completed as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable or Civil Enforcement Officer.

DENNETT ROAD, CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new gas connection works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Dennett Road, Croydon.
During the work Dennett Road will be closed outside No. 60 Dennett Road.
Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be via Mitcham Road, Canterbury Road, London Road, Sumner Road and vice versa, or via Mitcham Road, Sumner Road and Handcroft Road. Residents' access will be maintained.
The Order will come into operation on 09 June 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 13 June 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable or Civil Enforcement Officer.

UPPER SELSDON ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works by telecommunication installers, they intend to make an Order which would temporarily prohibit pedestrian traffic in Upper Selsdon Road, South Croydon.
During the works the south-western footway of Upper Selsdon Road will be closed between its junction with West Hill and a point 30 metres south-east of that junction.
Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for pedestrians will be via West Hill, Sandhurst Way, Elmfield Way, and reverse.
The Order will come into operation on 23 June 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in two phases from 23 to 25 June and from 30 to 01 August 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any person involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a person attending for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable or Civil Enforcement Officer.

WADDON COURT ROAD, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new gas main replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Waddon Court Road, Croydon.
Whilst the said works are taking place, Waddon Court Road will be closed to vehicles and parking restrictions will be imposed.
Diversion routes for the area in respect of works around Court Road and Purley Way will be open, and traffic will be diverted via Court Drive, The Ridgeway, Croydon Road, Purley Way, Waddon Court Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 19 June 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within ten weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for emergency services or statutory undertaker.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable or Civil Enforcement Officer.
The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

WILEY CRESCENT, NEW ADDINGTON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new gas connection works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Wiley Crescent, New Addington.
During the work Wiley Crescent will be closed off the common boundary of No. 8 Wiley Crescent and No. 1 Burford Way.
Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Burford Way, Merrow Way, Dunley Drive, and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 23 June 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 27 June 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING ORDER
ALDHAMA MOSQUE, BRIGSTOCK ROAD, THORNTON HEATH
EID PRAYERS - ASSOCIATED RESTRICTIONS IN FRANT ROAD AND ADJACENT ROADS
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate Eid prayers in the vicinity of the Aldhama Mosque, No. 177 Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath, they intend to make a Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to restrict parking and traffic and introduce one-way working as detailed in the Schedules to this notice.
The Order will come into effect on 06 June 2025 and will remain in force from 8am until 11am.
During the event, the diversion routes for traffic will be as detailed below:
From Brigstock Road ? via Penshurst Road, Lakehall Road and Frant Road.
From London Road ? via Alma Place, Queenswood Avenue, Meadow View Road and Frant Road.
The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
