NOTICE OF VARIATION OF PARKING CHARGES FOR ON-STREET PAY AND DISPLAY/PAY BY PHONE PARKING

The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames hereby gives notice under section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that revised car parking charges will come into effect on 1 July 2025.

The revised charges for on street pay and display and pay by phone bays are set out in the Schedule below for the parking places affected by the changes together with the existing charges.

For vehicles which are registered as “Band A” for the purposes of vehicle excise duty, the discounted charge of 50% of the Standard charge currently in place is to be discontinued with effect from 1 July 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
PARK ROAD, RICHMOND

The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecom works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Park Road, Richmond.

Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Park Road, from the junction with Kings Road to the junction with Queens Road.

Whilst Park Road, Richmond is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Park, Queens Road, Marlborough Road, Friars Stile Road and vice versa.

The order will come into effect on 18 June 2025. The works are anticipated to be in progress from 18 June 2025 to 20 June 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames hereby gives notice under section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that revised parking permit charges will come into effect on 1 July 2025.

The revised charges for Resident Parking Permits are set out in Schedule 1 below together with the existing charges.

The revised charges for other Parking Permits are set out in Schedule 2 below together with the existing charges.

For vehicles which are registered as “Band A” for the purposes of vehicle excise duty, the discounted charge of 50% of the Standard charge currently in place is to be discontinued with effect from 1 July 2025.
