(Amendment No. 4) Order 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
2. When the Order comes into operation on the 16 June 2025 the effect will be to:
• Modify PART B, Article 10. (Prohibition of sales etc.) of the Off-Street Consolidation Order.
• Introduce provisions to Old Market Car Park, Dorchester (No Maximum Stay and the addition of additional stay options/tariffs).

4. Concerns relating to the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.

(Amendment No. 1) Order 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
2. When the Order comes into operation on the 16 June 2025 the effect will be to introduce the following parking provisions to the rear section of County Hall Car Park, Dorchester:

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Various Roads, Dorchester
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8 June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20 June 2025.
This Order will enable South Coast Traffic Management, safe access to carry out remedial S278 works for the Lidl development.
The effect of the Order will be:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Millers Close from its junction with The Grove for a distance of approximately 50 metres on Sunday 8 June 2025 between 0900 and 2300.
[2] To impose temporary road closure on The Grove from its junction with School Lane to its junction with Burton Road between 16 June 2025 and 20 June 2025 1900 - 0700 - NIGHT WORKS.
[3] To impose temporary road closure on the B3147 from its junction with Millers Close to its junction with the lay-by to the north between 16 June 2025 and 20 June 2025 1900 - 0700 - NIGHT WORKS.
[4] To impose temporary road closure on Burton Road from its junction with the B3147 to the bridge between 16 June 2025 and 20 June 2025 1900 - 0700 - NIGHT WORKS.
[5] To impose temporary road closure on Northernhay at its junction with The Grove between 16 June 2025 and 20 June 2025 1900 - 0700 - NIGHT WORKS.
There will be temporary multi-way signals in place on The Grove between 9 June 2025 and 15 June 2025.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed.

Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
Temporary Closure of Public Footpath 19, Portland
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Footpath, 19 from grid reference SY 697 711 to grid reference SY 6973 1057, a distance of approximately 185 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 6 June 2025 for a period of 26 weeks and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This Order is required for health and safety reasons due to increased frequency of rock falls in the area.
An alternative route will be put in place to avoid the closed section of footpath.

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Cerne Abbas
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VARIOUS ROADS, CERNE ABBAS:
BACK LANE, CERNE ABBAS, between number 4 and the entrance to Norman’s House, a distance of approximately 80 metres.
ABBEY STREET, CERNE ABBAS, between its junction with Long Street and 11a, a distance of approximately 115 metres.
LONG STREET, CERNE ABBAS, between its junction with Piddle Lane and the entrance to Cerne Abbas Surgery, a distance of approximately 45 metres.
LONG STREET, CERNE ABBAS, between its junction with Abbey Court and its junction with Abbey Street, a distance of approximately 85 metres.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 26 June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11 July 2025. The closures will be carried out in phases to allow for diversion routes.
This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to carry out sewer rehabilitation works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections, where possible.
