Wiltshire – Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Idmiston Road (Part), Idmiston: from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 400m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to provide safe access to Dslam. Alternative route via Idmiston Road (unaffected length) – Winterslow Road – Windsor Road – Church Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. B) Cholderton Road (Part), Newton Tony: from its junction with Amesbury Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out complete a full relining of the sewers in order to reduce infiltration and sewerage overflows. Alternative route via A338 – Amesbury Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 02 July 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. C) Amesbury Road (Part), Newton Tony: from its junction with Beechfield for a distance of approximately 185m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out complete a full relining of the sewers in order to reduce infiltration and sewerage overflows. Alternative route via A338 – Wynham Lane – Newton Torvey Road – Station Road – Newton Tony – Beechfield and vice versa. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

D) C322 (Part), Coombe Bissett: from its junction with A354 to its property known as The Battery to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun and associated works. Alternative route via Highpine – A345 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 June 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 until 20 June 2025. E) C10 (Part), Wylye: from its junction with High Street to its junction with Teapot Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out new foul connection and other associated works. Alternative route via Teapot Street – High Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 June 2025 and the closures will be required until 13 June 2025. Orders A to E will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversions routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
