Westmorland & Furness, Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.4) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (the "Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversions routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs and at the memory location and phases of works.

Planned works not necessarily be done in numerical order.

Closures will not necessarily be continuous but will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 13th June 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. As the works are weather dependent, it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 4 weeks and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. A5084: Blawith – from 13th June 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref:TTRO/W1/439)

From its junction with the U5062 extending in a predominately northerly direction to its junction with the U5082.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the A5084 (Torver), A593 (Broughton-in-Furness), A595 (Grizebeck), A5092 (Woodgate) and U5081.

2. C5091: Farleton – from 14th June 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref:TTRO/W1/489)

From its junction with the A6070 extending in a predominately easterly direction to its junction with Baker’s Lane.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of C5091, A65 and A6070.

3. A593: Rydal – from 16th June 2025 to 17th June 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref:TTRO/W1/465)

From its junction with the B5287 extending in a predominately westerly direction to a point a distance of approx. 175m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5641, C5026 and A65.

4. A593: Rydal – from 19th June 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref:TTRO/W1/466)

From a point approx. 20m north of its junction with the B5287 extending in a northerly direction to Old Rake.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the A593 (Broughton-in-Furness), A595 (Grizebeck), A5092 (Lowick Green) and A5084.

5. Greenodd: A5904 – from 1st July 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref:TTRO/W1/457)

From a point approx. 35m in a predominately south to its junction with Smithy Lane, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 41m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of C5029, C5048, C5004, C5048, C5004, C5045 and A5092.

6. U5067: Muirside – near Haverthwaite – from 3rd July 2025 for approx. 4 days (Ref:TTRO/W1/444)

From its junction with the A590 extending in a generally southerly direction for approx. 1.36km.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U5067, C5032, A590, A5092, A5084 and U5082.

7. U5067: Muirside – from 8th July 2025 for approx. 4 days (Ref:TTRO/W1/438)

From a point approx. 1.36km from its junction with the A590 extending in a generally southerly direction for approx. 1.66km.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of C5061 and Whinestone Lane, A5091, A6, Gillthwaite, Bandfield and U5067.

8. U5051: Rusland – from 7th July 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref:TTRO/W1/437)

From its junction with Oxen Park extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with Thwaite Moss.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U5051, U5056 and C5048.

9. C5061: Rusland – from 11th July 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref:TTRO/W1/431)

From its junction with the U5051 extending in a north easterly direction to its junction with Woodside Road.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5048, C5004, C5045, A590 and A5092.

10. U5135: Whinfield – from 13th July 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref:TTRO/W1/430)

From its junction with the A5084 extending in a north easterly direction to its junction with Rickettra.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U5136, U5135, C5061, C5048 and A5084.
