b) the westbound carriageway of the M27 between a point approximately 1200 metres west of the centreline of the Rownhams Lane overbridge and a point approximately 510 metres west of the centreline of the Station Road underbridge;

3. impose 24-hour lane width restrictions of 2.8 metres (maximum vehicle width 2.3 metres) in the outside lane (lane three) of;

4. to permit 24-hour hard shoulder running adjacent to the lengths of carriageway described in article 3 above.

These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake repairs of the Station Road overbridge and all associated work.

It is expected that the work would last for approximately 9 months starting on or after Thursday 3rd July 2025.

The overnight carriageway closures would take place between 21:00 hours and 06:00. Please see National Highways website for details.

The Order would come into force on 1st July 2025 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.

Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using the M27, M271, A35, A36, A326.

The temporary closures, speed limits, lane width restriction, hard shoulder running and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
