Newbridge Lane and Mitchell Lane - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC HOWL GATE
AND MITCHELL LANE, HIGH CATTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the
following roads to allow remedial works to be carried
out safely.
1. Howl Gate between the junctions of Newbridge
Lane and Mitchell Lane.
2. Mitchell Lane between the junctions of Howl Gate
and High Catton Road.
The closure will commence 30 June 2025 at 08.00
hours. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed by 2 July 2025 at 18.00 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Newbridge Lane, Moor Road,
Church Road, High Catton Road and vice versa.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure.
The road will be closed to all traffic but access will
be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents and
pedestrians.
