Main Street, Everingham - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
MAIN STREET AND SOUTHFIELD LANE,
EVERINGHAM AND BULL LANE
AND HARSWELL LANE, HARSWELL
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along
part of Main Street, Everingham from its junction with
Thorpe Le Street Road to Southfield Lane and the
entire length of Southfield Lane, Everingham, Bull Lane
and Harswell Lane, Harswell commencing
30 June 2025 until 4 July 2025.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
installation of ducting and chambers for the new
BDUK fibre network on behalf of Quickline
Communications to be carried out on part of Main
Street, Everingham from its junction with Thorpe Le
Street Road to Southfield Lane and the enite length of
Southfield Lane, Everingham, Bull Lane and Harswell
Lane, Harswell. The works will be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed within five days. The alternative route
for traffic affected by the Order is via Main Street,
Common Lane, Everingham Road, Mill Lane, North End,
Church Lane, South End, Southfield Lane, road from
Foss Dyke to Major Bridge, Selby Road, High Street,
New Road and Market Weighton Road, Seaton Ross CP,
Holme Upon Spalding Moor CP, Bielby CP, Everingham
CP, Howdenshire Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles
and pedestrians.
The Order will commence 30 June 2025 and continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months
or until the works which it is proposed to carry out
have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further
